Since there are a ton of portals for the psp available, I've created this thread for you to post links for all psp portals.  Please keep the chatter down and if you need to make a comment, please keep it on topic:

It might be helpful if you post a description of the portal along with the link...give features and whatnot to help people decide which portal they would like.

Okay well I know a lot of people here have X5 and they like it a lot but I found that it just didn't have very many games. The alienware portal is in my mind the best out there right now because it has a ton of games and applications, and snazzy features like customizable backgrounds, all at a small size of about 15 mb. http://rapidshare.de/files/7114577/AWM_2.0.zip.html

"I was in a casino, minding my own business, and this guy came up to me and said, 'You're gonna have to move. You're blocking a fire exit.' As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit. Unless you're a table." - Mitch Hedberg (r.i.p.)

And if anyone wants X5 go to thier website and you will see all the features it has.You can get it in Aqua or Dark Aqua.I like Dark Aqua better. The only problem Im having with X5 is how to change the background.I cant get it to work.

To change the background just place the photo you wish to use into your PHOTO folder and rename it to X5 and delete the other one. I think the name is X5, if it isnt just rename it to whatever the photo it came with was.

Wow...I realized that I haven't used a portal in months. X5 is my favorite, simply because it was easy to install and is not at all difficult to use. Also, the games are pretty nice.

Ive been wondering this for ages now...
Why are people so bothered about homebrew that puts tetris (if ur lucky) on your psp when we have portals that have tons of games on?

That isn't a new idea. Homebrew does offer more graphic-intense games. I do not use homebrew, but some people enjoy using the games and apps that are available.

Because playing tetirs on the web on your PSP is hard and almost never works properly. Though, now that we have flash, things may change.

Yup ive tired as many tetris games pssible throught portals and they never work right...but with the flash that has indeed changed, i have found probably the best website to use the flash on psp. it isonemorelevel.com a lot of the games work, including tetris i was just trying it out a min ago.(the controls are very simple just use the d pad) so go ahead and play it there, and check all the other games out.

and has anybody made or found any new portals lately?

#10 -  06.02.06 1:52 PM

No.

I do not expect any to come out anytime soon either... That and PSP mags... so good luck finding some, they kinda died away in December.

i meant, if you can play battleship and connect 4 and stuff in OFFLINE portals, why not tetris?

#14 -  06.06.06 12:25 PM

umm, tetris usually just doesnt  work on portals, i dont know why but it just doesnt, u can go to onemorelevel.com(the best game site for psp, in my mind[almost all the games work]) and they have tetris there, its easy.
i just start tetris before i leave the hotspot and then i can just keep playin it

PSPMESSENGER is my favorite now, it was relleased a week ago, i dont care about them having games cause i have 80+, 30+ soundboards and some apps, the only features i want in portals is the ability to brouse files on your ms and then access them(ie. say i want to play a game, but dont want to type file:/psp/common/gamename.swf, i just browse my games from the portal and play it without typing anything)
