Is DSi available in North America (Canada)? All I have seen here is DS lite.
Is the difference between the two that major?

The DSi has two cameras, one pointing toward the player and another pointing away. You can buy some software for it that plays music and has basic photo editing functions. So far there are no games that take specific advantage of the DSi changes.
It also features a slightly bigger screen (same resolution).
The DSi is not out in North America yet, but should be here by Fabruary/march.
