1. DOWNLOAD
Start out by downloading the current release of PSP Video 9 HERE.
(4.5 MB)
2. INSTALL
Open the .exe. Select you language. Click 'Next', then 'I agree', just like you usually do when instally something. Unselect 'Launch on Startup', unless you'd like it to. Keep 'AviSynth' checked as it is needed to convert certain videos. Once again, click 'Next'. Select the location where you want it to install. 'Next'. Once it's done installing, click 'Run PSP Video 9 1.74' and 'Finish'.
3. Setting up the program
A window should come up like this:
Do as it says and connect your PSP to your computer, making sure you're in 'USB Mode'. Then 'Search for PSP'. This simply find the drive name of your PSP for placement of the videos later. If you'd like you could manually do it and put in the drive name. Click 'Done' to enter the main program.
To start off, the best thing to do it click 'Setup' to pick your video and sound quality. You can also do other things like change your PSP drive name, and change the output video folder. But we won't be doing that.
Once in 'Setup', go to 'Profile Picker'. This is a very handy estimater that can be used to help you decide what quality you want. Depending on your MS size, you may want to lower or raise the quality.

Under the 'Custom Bitrate' section there are two dropdown windows; one for Video, one for Sound. Play around with the different kbps's until you find one you like. Put in numbers, like '2' in the 'Hours' section(a usual movie length) Then click the 'Calculate' button. The higher number you chose, the better quality, but the bigger file size. Once you've got a good combination that will fit you and your MS, find and select it under the 'One-Click Profile' dropdown. Then click 'Save'.
4. Convert
Now, go back to 'Convert' section.

Now you can click either 'One-Click Transcode', which will use the setting we set up earlier. Or you can use 'Transcode New Video', which will use the setting to the next of it. You can use this if you want to use a different quality just once or something..

Find the video you want to convert, and click 'Open'. It will start doing it's stuff. It can take a while for a full length movie....So go take a break. ![]()
5. Copy
Once your video is done converting, go into the 'Copy' section.
This part is pretty straight forward. Select your video on the left side, then you can click 'File Info' on the lower part. You can change the title so you can tell a difference between your videos. Other wise they will be something like this "M4V10005.MP4" DO NOT change the actual file name (M4V10005.MP4) or else they will not play.
Then go back to the 'Main' tab. There you can click 'Copy Video to PSP' along with other things like 'Play Video on PC', 'Delete Video', and other things.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once it's done copying over, go ahead and exit 'USB Mode'. Enjoy your video by just going to 'Video' on you PSP and selecting the video!
